It’s Walkabout Wednesday. I did not want to go walking about today. I’m dizzy, stuffy, cold, and generally not interested in being out in the frigid temps. But I’m certainly not going to miss a day of this journey so early! So Molly (the dog) and I went for a 10 minute walk.
I’ve taken shots of this statue before. The title is To Know Joy, and I just love it! The problem is that it sits in a teeny, tiny “park” in the middle of town, with ugly trees, dirty garages, power lines, houses, etc all around it. I finally found a position to shoot from that cuts out most of that stuff. Unfortunately, the sunlight can’t possibly come from the right direction to light her face, (she’s facing north) and I don’t know anyone tall enough to get my reflector that high. lol. Anyway, here’s Joy…

Very nice Elli!
I love it! I wish I could find something like that walking around my neighbor hood! I used to have a dog named Molly! That was my first child hood pet :)
That's a great statue. Having a dog is a good motivator for getting outside.
