The assignment from The Daily Shoot today is “Sometimes what’s out of focus can make the shot. Create a photograph today where some/all of your subject isn't in focus.” Since my beloved was preparing for our church Thanksgiving Dinner, I decided to use him for my subject.

He really makes awesome deviled eggs!

It’s a heavily overcast day, and I used window light for this…I should have upped my ISO and played with my settings so the white parts weren’t blown out so much, but he was filling too fast! Oh well…the consolation for a photo that’s not quite what I had hoped is that I get to eat some of the deviled eggs! (By the way – I used my 50mm 1.8 for this. I haven’t used that lens in months!)
