This shot is from yesterday, but I wanted to share Mom’s volunteer poppies. These silly things have planted themselves – in the corner of her garage door.
My Snapshot Sunday shot one is from this evening. It was around 100 degrees here today, and our neighbor girl knew just what to do – go fishing! She was catching inflatable dolphins and an indulgent daddy in that very tiny pond. When I went to talk with them she actually had her daddy doing the fishing while she coerced the dolphins to swim. Too cute.

We never had luck growing poppies from seeds in our yard. I am guessing it has to be something to do with the weather here.
Resiliant! I've had several plants and sometimes they grow sometimes they don't. I guess they just have to pick their own spot where they want to grow.
