Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers reading this. I hope you were able to relax and enjoy the day!

Our church has a picnic on Father’s Day every year, and this year we squeezed the picnic in between rain showers. I fully believe it’s because early this morning Caleb prayed, “God, please make the rain go away.”

I didn’t actually take a lot of photos today. I spent most of the time just visiting with different people, but here are a few.

Kristi got to spend some time with her very special friend, Chris. Chris and Kristi seem to be kindred spirits, and just love to be together.

ARGH! I had my ISO all the way up for a shot inside my dark trailer, and I forgot to change it back before taking shots for a challenge over at Digital Photography School. All the shots I took for the challenge are so grainy I wouldn’t dare submit them. GRRRR! But I really loved this one of Nathan, so I played with it in Picnik. I used the 1960’s effect on it since it was so grainy anyway.

Ken split kindling and tied it in bundles in preparation for our camping trip. He’s such a good guy!

Kind of an odd photo today, but it’s my new favorite. The post-processing was done with Picnik again.

I can’t believe I did it again! I forgot to post my 365 twice in one week! How does one forget to do something they’ve done on 185 consecutive days? Argh!

Here’s my favorite photo (and edit) from yesterday. I may have mentioned this before, but I love this man.

I used Picnik.com to edit this. I used the curves adjustment which has a preset called Cross Process. This effect is Cross Process at full strength. I don’t like this effect on every portrait, and on some I use it at lower opacities, but I really liked how it made that fabulous green Carhartt coat look. (By the way, this adjustment on Picnik is a premium feature – at least it was last I knew. I don’t think you can save such things if you’re not a premium member.)

I never picked up the camera today. It was a nice Sunday, but not a photo one. I did spend some time playing with Picnik.com again though, and I thought this was a neat feature – before and after:

Day 112

I didn't pick up my camera today. Well, that's not true. I picked it up to put it in my beautiful camera bag. I took the bag to church...but I never pulled it back out of the bag...all day. So now that I've been working all day, I just don't feel like it. Instead of taking a picture, I played with one of my older photos with Picnik. I really like the vignette that Picnik does! Here's my photo of the day that was actually taken on Sept 29, 2008.
