Day 229

We had an interesting little drama going on at dinner time. Cheerio, aka Danger Kitty, had already gotten a mouse, and was now eyeing the local robins (nesting in our maple tree). The robins were having something to say about this. Both robins were chirping angrily and hopping along the fence as Cheerio moved around the yard. I didn’t have a wide enough lens to get more than one player in this drama into the frame.

For the photographers reading this, I have to tell you that the soft gray background is the road in front of our street. These were shot with my 70-300 at 300mm.

Day 211

We went for a walk today. We saw a lot of pretty flowers along the way…

(This huge tree full of blossoms was amazing!)

We also saw a lot of flags out today – demonstrating appreciation for those who gave their lives for our freedom…

After we got home this little guy ran himself into our dining room window and knocked himself silly! He’s still out there trying to collect himself, I think. I don’t understand how he could run into that window – it has more dirt and hand smudges than glass!

Day 146

I almost forgot to post today!! I didn't take many pictures today...I was quite busy enough with kids and housework that I barely picked up my camera. But I did snap a few quick shots of these birds. There were 15 or 20 of them in our neighbor's trees.
